I am a huge animal lover. I worked my way through college at a pet store and that is where I met my husband. Together we have 2 rescue kitties, a hamster, a rescue pup and 2 green cheek conures. We definitely have a house full of heartbeats and we love it!

Q. Tell us about you and your family.

A. I am a SAHM to two beautiful little girls and the proud wife of an active duty soldier. When we’re not busy at dance classes, soccer practice or cooking club, we’re visiting the local attractions of wherever we’re stationed at at the moment. We are currently stationed in New Mexico. Being an active duty family has allowed us to travel so many different parts of the country and meet so many new and interesting people! We now think of ourselves as having family all over the country!

Q. What program do you use for digital scrapbooking?

A. PSE 11 and CC 2015

Q. Why did you join the Scrapaneers team?

A. As a military family, we move so very frequently that it is hard to make and maintain friendships so for me, my digital “family” is a very important part of my daily life. I love the sense of community and the friendships I have made as a result of digital scrapbooking and CTing. I have even met some of my digi-friends in real life. I have received so much support and encouragement from my digi family not just for scrapbooking but for “real life” as well. I also enjoy pushing myself to learn and do new techniques and to be continually growing and improving. Being a part of the Scrapaneers team allows me to continue to both grow personally and to be a source of encouragement for others.

Q. How long have you been scrapbooking (paper and digital)?

A. I began paper scrapbooking about 13 years ago in college but I was never able to complete very many pages. After the birth of my first daughter it became much more important to me to make the time to record her childhood. I stumbled upon digital scrapbooking while looking for project life printables in 2013 and I made the switch to digital. At first I was rather reserved because I worried I would miss the texture and dimension of paper pages however once I realized how clean and easy it was to scrap digitally, that I could easily share my pages with friends and family and that shadows make all the difference, I have never looked back!

Q. What is your favorite layout/project of all time and why?

A. I have so many favorite pages but this one is one of my absolute favorites. Every time I look at it, I relive the emotions that this day held. It really needs no words to describe what is happening and how my family was feeling. I also love this page because I made it without a template (something I typically rely heavily on) and I love the mix of the black and white photo with the colored photo.
