Let’s learn a little about our newest Team members!
Tell us about you and your family.
Wife, mom, step-mom, and nana. I’ve got a lot of names to answer to lol. But I love them all. Hubby and I live in a small town in Michigan with our two youngest, 13 & 12. As a family the one thing we all love is to go fishing. I’ve been fishing since I was a little girl and it is my favorite hobby, next to scrapping of course. Anytime I’m not scrapping, I’m planning on how to get my pole into the water. We also enjoy hanging out playing games or trying new foods. We’re owned by one fluffy tailed, Alaskan Malamute who just can’t seem to keep his tongue in his mouth.
What program(s) do you use for digital scrapbooking?
Why did you join the Scrapaneers Team?
I love being a part of the community. I love hanging out in the forum and encouraging newbies and “oldies” alike and commenting on all the gorgeous pages. To be a part of this community and be able to learn and grow my own skills was an awesome combo I couldn’t pass up!
How long have you been scrapbooking (paper and digital)?
I think every little girl has did some form of memory keeping, whether in a diary, keeping photo albums, or saving all the mementos and letters we get in boxes under our beds. Well I was that little girl. I never did actual paper scrapping though. But I knew I’d always need a way to keep all these memories. I happened upon digiscrap by chance. When I did it was like a whole new world opened before my eyes and I set out to learn all I could and download all I could too. (freebies anyone?) I knew I wanted to use it to start keeping my family’s stories, that was in 2009, and I haven’t turned back!
What is your favorite layout/project of all time and why?
Wow, how do I even start to pick a favorite layout of all time?! Each page holds such a special memory or story it’s so hard to choose. I guess I’d have to pick the favorite of this year…lol…which is this one of my 2 granddaughters. They live in Tennessee which is where hubby is from originally and where we stayed when we got married and started our family. Now back in Michigan where I’m from, we don’t get to see them often enough. And I don’t get too many pics of them either. So when I get some that I can scrap with, it’s always special to me and to our albums.
What is something we may not know about you?
I’m a published poet. I’ve been published in a couple of literary magazines and I also have 2 published poetry collections with a 3rd on the way. ♥
