Digital Artistry with Cilenia Curtisprojects
When I first began creating with Photoshop, many moons ago, I had one desire in mind: to create digital canvas art that rivaled my beautiful artistic paintings. I was so excited to play with the photo-editing brushes and build genuine masterpieces I could print, hang on my wall, and share as gifts with my loves. Didn’t quite workout as planned until I discovered the REAL digital techniques that matched the creative artistry.
Perhaps you’ve noticed that the photo-editing brushes don’t quite work the way their names suggest. Or you haven’t quite mastered that perfect combination of filters and styles that accentuate your art. Or quite possibly, you believe you can’t create beautiful pieces of fine art worthy of framing and hanging on your walls because you simply don’t know how to draw.
Guess what! You DON’T need to know how to draw to create amazing, inspiring digital canvas art! I’m Cilenia Curtis, and I can show you how to use the right combination of Photoshop and Photoshop Elements brushes, pens, textures, filters, and styles to build digital, artistic artwork you’ll absolutely love. As long as you have a photo and the willingness to learn (and practice), you’ll discover that you can build digital artistry too! I even sell my art in the range of $50 to $500 per piece — and yes, they’re all 100% digital.
The artistry skills you’ll acquire in my class can be applied to fine art as well as scrapbook pages, gifts, holiday cards, and just about anything else. I’ve even had my art printed on metal like my motorcycle art series! People will sincerely look at your creations and wonder how much time you spent illustrating and coloring and what kinds of brushes or pens you use. And you can reply, “It was all Digital Artistry!”
I hope you’ll join me for this one-of-a-kind class!

Q. Do I have to know how to draw? Because I seriously can not draw! And I have no background in art design either.
A. You do not need to know how to draw. Cilenia will teach you how to use your photo-editing tools to mimic drawing techniques. You’re good to go!
Q. I am a digital designer or run a commercial business. Can I use the techniques I learn in this class to create digital kits or commercial use artwork?
A. Yes! Everyone’s artistry is different and your style and uniqueness is yours to do as you please. You will learn many techniques that can be applied to a design business and sold as commercial artwork too.
Q. I use Photoshop Elements. Can I take this class? What happens if I decide to upgrade to Photoshop one day?
A. Yes you can! While the class recordings were created using Adobe Photoshop CC, the techniques Cilenia shares work for both Photoshop CS5 and above or Photoshop Elements 10 and above. In the few instances where techniques aren’t seamless, Cilenia has prepared special video lessons specifically for Photoshop Elements users.
You’ll also receive lifetime access to all videos including both Photoshop and special Elements lessons.
Q. Do I need a pen tablet to take this class?
A. A Wacom Pen Tablet & Pen is recommended but not required. You’ll get better results from your artwork if you use such hardware. We recommend a Wacom Bamboo Pen, a solid starter pen and tablet set. But you don’t need one to enjoy this class.
Q. Will this class make sense to me if I a beginner?
A. Eh, this is not the kind of class you’ll want to jump in if you’ve never used a photo-editor before. And if you’re new to digital scrapbooking, we recommend our FREE Digital Scrapbooking for Beginners workshop.
If you’ve created your first digital project or completed a digital scrapbook page and feel comfortable with the Move tool, the Brush tool, can locate other tools in the Tools Panel, plus know your way around the layer’s panel, then you’re ready to enroll.
